Truffle Master's
The dog goes out to a truffle habitat and prepares for fieldwork. It is necessary to pass an assessment (the truffle finals) covering searching without a command and the basics of obedience for control within the habitat (come, down, stay).
Programme of work:
- training in a truffle habitat
- refining the precision and durability of marking
- increasing the dog's independence
- working in more demanding and unpredictable conditions
- developing stamina, focus and continuity of work
- preparing the team for independent truffle hunting

- Handler's ageFrom 15 years of age (the same handler throughout the course)

The fundamentals of truffle searching — the dog learns to recognise the scent of truffles, mark them reliably and search for them eagerly with minor distractions.
