Truffle School

The Truffle School offers several different course levels for training your truffle dog.

The Truffle School is held at various locations in Zagreb and the surrounding area, depending on the season and the level of the course.

In the world of training dogs to search for truffles, there is a whole range of different approaches and methods.

The methodology we apply is suited to every dog — any dog can learn to search for truffles, regardless of age or breed.

Level 1

Basic Truffle School

The fundamentals of truffle searching — the dog learns to recognise the scent of truffles, mark them reliably and search for them eagerly with minor distractions.

Level 2

Truffle High School

The dog learns to search for truffles without a command or additional cues, amid greater distractions, and to stay under control after finding a truffle.

Level 3

Truffle Master's

The dog goes out to a truffle habitat and prepares for fieldwork. It is necessary to pass an assessment (the truffle finals) covering searching without a command and the basics of obedience for control within the habitat (come, down, stay).
